PemaGatshel Dzongkhag welcomes the launch of “Aumtsue Peljor Thabrig” Women Banking Initiative by Bhutan Development Bank Limited (BDBL) in Nganglam, PemaGatshel, today.
The initiative marks an important step towards strengthening women’s access to financial services and creating greater opportunities for women to engage in entrepreneurship, productive economic activities and sustainable livelihoods.
From the Dzongkhag’s perspective, initiatives such as Aumtsue Peljor Thabrig are particularly relevant to advancing local economic development by enabling women to turn their ideas and skills into viable enterprises, strengthen existing businesses and contribute to household and community economies.
