Today, DLGDM conducted a hands-on training in PemaGatshel on the Bhutan DRM Portal, a GIS-based information system that integrates disaster-related data such as hazards, exposure, vulnerability, capacity, and risk. The platform serves as a central repository and a national tool to understand Bhutan’s overall disaster risk profile.
The training was facilitated by KCS Consulting Firm and attended by disaster management stakeholders from gewogs, communities, Desuups, Bhutan Power Corporation (BPC), Bhutan Telecom, TashiCell, insurance companies, Royal Bhutan Police, BAFRA, and Dzongkhag officials.
