Following the inauguration, the Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL) held a meeting with Dzongkhag officials and the Gups of the eight upper gewogs. During the meeting, the Dasho Dzongrab presented the mid-year budget to the Hon’ble Lyonpo.
The Hon’ble Lyonpo also conducted a sensitization session on ongoing tax reform initiatives, including the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Income Tax, and Excise Tax, as well as on the recently launched National Crop and Livestock Insurance Scheme (NCLIS).
During the session, the Hon’ble Lyonpo explained the objectives and benefits of the tax reforms, while the interactive format allowed participants to raise questions and seek clarifications. The session provided an opportunity to dispel misconceptions and enhance understanding, making it a productive and engaging discussion.
