Dasho undertook a two-day first-ever official visit to Nganglam Drungkhag, PemaGatshel Dzongkhag, from 26–27 January 2026, with the objective of strengthening institutional coordination and reviewing ongoing development initiatives in the Drungkhag.

DAY 1 | 26 JANUARY 2026

Upon arrival, Dasho visited Nganglam Dratshang, where butter lamps were offered and a Khadar ceremony was accorded by the Dratshang. Dasho subsequently held a meeting with Drungkhag officials, during which comprehensive updates on ongoing activities, service delivery, and planned development initiatives were presented. Dasho also met with officials from various regional offices to discuss cross-sectoral coordination and the effective implementation of government programmes.

DAY 2 | 27 JANUARY 2026

On the second day, Dasho visited Nyinshingborong Lhakhang and offered prayers. Dasho then toured the border areas under Nganglam Drungkhag and interacted with duty staff, acknowledging their dedication and the critical responsibilities they shoulder in safeguarding national interests. En route, Dasho also visited Dungsam Cement Corporation Limited (DCCL) and the Gasharibaley checkpoint, emphasizing the importance of industrial development, trade facilitation, and border security in advancing the socio-economic development of Pemagatshel Dzongkhag.
