A team from the Royal Bhutan Police (RBP), led by DCoP Dasho Pasang Dorji, conducted a half-day sensitization program on Crime and Drug-Related Social Issues in the country.

The session focused on mandates of agencies, society and individuals, with emphasis on shared responsibilities in preventing crime and addressing the growing challenges of drug abuse.

The DCoP also presented on the current crime and drug scenario, underscoring the importance of individual responsibility in building a society and country that is free of drugs and crime. He emphasized that by staying aware, making mindful choices, and guiding our youth, individuals can play a crucial role in preventing issues before they arise and in promoting a safer environment for all.

The program was attended by all officials of the Dzongkhag administration, Regional offices, LG leaders, school principals and members of the business community.

The session was very well received by the participants, with everyone expressing that such initiatives from the RBP strengthen collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the public, building safer, more vigilant and smart communities.
