The tenure of Dasho Dzongdag in PemaGatshel remains a defining chapter in the Dzongkhag’s history. His leadership was marked not only by sound decisions but by the strength of his character, clarity of vision, and unwavering dedication to every responsibility he carried.

Dasho’s tenure also witnessed a historic milestone of the successful relocation of the Dzong from its old site to the new Dzong in Denchhi on 16 March 2023, ushering in a renewed chapter for the Dzongkhag.

Under his leadership, Pemagatshel saw progress in eco-tourism, livestock and agriculture, and town development in Denchhi and Nganglam. He initiated Bathing Carnival Bhutan with great enthusiasm, bringing vibrancy and identity to the region. His emphasis on education and health strengthened the services’ vibrancy.
