International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women

The “International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women” was observed today at the Druk Migyur Dechen Dzong.

The program was conducted in collaboration with RENEW, CBSS, DAISAN.

With active participation from Lotus Amsui Detshen, women from the business community and Dzongkhag administration officials, the event highlighted critical issues through presentations on violence against women, including the menace of adolescent pregnancy.

The participants deliberated on the critical importance of eradicating gender-based violence and fostering an inclusive, safe and equitable society for all.
