To commemorate the 39th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the King, the Pema Gatshel Dzongkhag Administration, Dratshang, Regional Heads and hundreds of people gathered at Yurung Central School and paid tribute and prayers for His Majesty's Long Life and well being. To mark the day the Dzongkhag RNR sector showcased various agriculture and livestock products and other products which are locally produced were also displayed for exhibition and sale.
During the celebration various cultural programs and mask dances were also performed by the Dzongkhag dancers and nearby schools and Sheyda. The Dzongkhag also initiated free lottery system whereby the public had oppurtunities to receive attractive prizes.
