Handing-Taking GC Roads

The formal handing-taking of the Dzongkhag roads (erstwhile GC road) of all 11 Gewogs from Gewog administration to DoST was held today. 

The official signing of the documents were carried out between the DoST Chief Engineer and Gups of the 11 Gewogs in the presence of Dasho Dzongdag and officials of the Dzongkhag HQ.
 
Growing forward, DoST will take charge of improvement, maintenance and upkeep of the Dzongkhag roads. The Dzongkhag administration and Gewogs will support the DoST, wherever required, to ensure that the Dzongkhag roads are pliable all-year round, thus enhancing connectivity, and promoting social and economic development of the Gewogs.
