On 2 July 2026 PemaGatshel Dzongkhag held the inauguration of the Public Services Help Desk at the Dzongkhag, reaffirming our commitment to making public services more accessible and efficient. It is established following consultation meeting held on 13 March and other discussions among the Dzongkhag, regional offices and Gewogs.

It is a linkage to the Services Center of the Prime Minister’s Office allowing citizens to walk in for a range of services and the Royal Civil Services Commission’s Community Center Operators. It is aimed at providing basic services, and linking with the regional offices, Gewogs and the PMO’s Services Desk. It will provide the services of:

1. Civil Registration (birth, death and marriage etc)

2. Land Record and cadastral information

3. Business licensing and permits

4. NoCs and certifications

5. Social welfare and beneficiary support

6. Community and Gewog level Coordination

7. Agriculture, livestock and forestry queries etc

8. Health referral and Hospital guidance

9. Infrastructure complaints and public works

10. Environmental, Water and sanitation

By bringing support services closer to the public, the center will ensure faster responses, greater convenience, and an improved experience for all. The desk will be strengthened based on the need and response from the users.

Bringing services closer to the people.
