Today marked a significant milestone as the Dzongkhag Conference Hall came alive with purpose and passion, welcoming six new Vice Principals (appointed by MoESD) and two Assistant Principals (appointed under the Dzongkhag’s Talent Pool Initiative) into their new leadership journey.

In his opening remarks, Dasho Dzongdag reminded our school leaders of the pivotal role they play in shaping young minds, not just for today, but for tomorrow’s Bhutan. He called upon them to align their vision with national aspirations, including the transformative mandates of the Gelephu Mindfulness City, and stressed that true solidarity among civil servants must be shouldered with sincerity and heart.

The Chief DEO and Principal DEO led an insightful orientation session, ‘The Intentional Educator: Leading with Presence, Purpose and Rigour (PPR)’- unpacking powerful leadership takeaways:

✅ Leadership rooted in an undying commitment to creating tangible impact

✅ Visibility matters — unseen performance is non-existent performance

✅ Understanding what truly defines ethical leadership

✅ The framing effect and its influence on decisions

✅ Cultivating an abundance mentality — never self-sabotage

✅ Smart leadership and building genuine Executive Presence

✅ Recognizing the pedagogical blind spots of a leader

✅ Never underestimate — never size up anything before its time

As our newly onboarded leaders step into this journey, they carry with them not just the trust of the Ministry and Dzongkhag, but the hopes of every student, teacher, and family they will serve.

We wish them strength, clarity, and wisdom as they lead with presence, purpose, and rigour!
