Following the national briefing by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 5 September 2026, a consultation meeting was held today to sensitise stakeholders and strengthen preparedness measures in response to the potential impacts of the Super El Niño.
The consultation focused on enhancing awareness, strengthening coordination among relevant agencies, and identifying preparedness and response measures to minimise potential risks and impacts on communities and critical services.
The meeting was chaired by Dasho Dzongdag and attended by Dasho Dzongrab, Drungpa, Dasho OC, sector heads, relevant stakeholders, Gups, Mangmis, Tshogpas and Gewog Administrative Officers from all 11 Gewogs.
